Optic disc with optico ciliary vessels.jpg OD propotosis.jpg

55 year old presents with gradual decrease in vision OD with RAPD, pale disc and abnormal blood vessels on the disc. How do do you work up this patient and what is the diagnosis? This patient has opticociliary blood vessels and disc pallor and gradual decline in vision indicating a compressive lesion of the optic nerve. External exam suggests proptosis of the right eye which would suggest a orbital mass compressing the optic nerve. High on the DD here would be meningioma and glioma. An MRI of the orbit and brain will help make the diagnosis
